Lama Alqasemi is an attorney with Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid, P.A. specializing in estate planning, tax planning, and probate and trust administration. She graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law with a Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) and previously earned her Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia. Lama is also a graduate of the University of South Florida with a B.S. degree in Integrative Animal Biology.
Lama prides herself on being accessible and personable to her clients and knowledgeable on relevant legal developments as they pertain to each client’s unique case. She worked at Absolute Law Group in Ocala, Florida, as an attorney performing estate planning, probate and trust administration, and elder law prior to attaining her Tax LL.M.
Lama’s unique legal background provides a multifaceted approach to the way she interacts with legal issues, through a local, national, and international lens. During law school, she had the opportunity to clerk at the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., as well as at the largest internationally renowned firm–Dentons– in Prague, Czech Republic.
Lama has grown up in the Tampa Bay area and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends in her free time. Since her move back to the area in 2022, Lama strives to carry on her involvement in the local community and devote her time to educational outreach and legal scholarship.
